【Important notice】Fraudulent/spoofing emails purporting to be from SIGMA
Information
2024.12.26
SIGMA Corporation has recently become aware of fraudulent or spoofing emails that claim to be sent from SIGMA or its affiliates.
Please be advised that these emails are not sent by SIGMA employees, subsidiaries, or authorized distributors, and they are entirely unrelated to SIGMA's legitimate business operations. It is important that you do not to respond to these messages.
These spoofing attempts involve emails that appear to originate from SIGMA employees or related entities.
They often promote fictitious collaboration opportunities or other requests to work together that direct recipients to click on seemingly genuine links.
These fraudulent emails are highly deceptive, utilizing the SIGMA brand logo and product images without authorization. They also mimic SIGMA's official email domains by using addresses that closely resemble legitimate ones.
Please note that SIGMA does not send unsolicited offers for collaboration or discounts to a broad audience, and any legitimate contact from us is always based on mutual trust and direct communication.
If you receive an email that appears suspicious, do not open any attachments or click on any links. Please send a copy of the email along with an explanation of your concerns to pr@sigma-photo.co.jp, and then delete the email from your inbox.
We are committed to prevent unauthorized access and ensure information security, and will continue to strengthen our measures in cooperation with the relevant organizations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this regrettable situation.
