The Sigma BF has been selected for the "Gold Selection"
in the JIDA Design Museum Selection Vol.27

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce that Sigma's full-frame mirrorless camera, the Sigma BF, has been selected for the "Gold Selection" in the JIDA Design Museum Selection Vol.27, organised by the Japan Industrial Design Association (JIDA).

The JIDA Design Museum Selection invites recommendations widely, primarily from JIDA members, and each year selects products with outstanding design. The "Gold Selection" is awarded through a special screening conducted with external experts as juries, and is given to products among the selected items that particularly embody the spirit of the times or demonstrate exceptional design quality. This year, 5 products out of a total of 59 selected items received the "Gold Selection," and this marks the first time that a Sigma camera has been chosen for the "Gold Selection."

Evaluation comments by the Jury:
In addition to its seamless body, carved from a solid aluminum ingot, the camera offers a satisfying weight that conveys the tactile richness and materiality of metal. The subtle tapers in the details and the precisely machined knurled surfaces create a grip that feels as if it gently adheres to the hand, embodying an exceptional industrial design that appeals to both sight and touch.
Its unique user interface, which allows intuitive fingertip control of settings such as shutter speed and aperture, also provides an immersive shooting experience.
