Before Updating
If the camera battery runs out during the firmware update, it might affect the operation of the camera. In order to avoid this, please read the following instructions carefully before updating the firmware.
Use a fully charged battery designed specifically for the camera.
Do not try to operate any buttons, dials, or switches during the firmware update.
Do not turn off the camera during the firmware update.
Note: If the BF camera has been updated to this latest version, you will need to update SIGMA Photo Pro to the latest version as well.

Update Procedure
- STEP 01
Connect the camera to your computer using a commercially available USB Type-C cable.
- STEP02
When you turn on the camera, the “USB Mode Select” screen will display on the LCD monitor. Make sure that “Mass Storage” is selected, and then press the OK button. The camera will be recognized as a USB drive.
- STEP 03
Download the firmware file to the camera.
※ Please download the firmware file to the root directory (top level). If you create a new folder and copy the file there, the camera will not recognize the firmware.
- STEP 04
After downloading the file, safely eject the camera from the computer before removing the USB cable.
- STEP 05
Open the SYSTEM menu, select INFORMATION / FIRMWARE, press the center button to display the camera information, select FIRMWARE UPDATE, and press the right button or center button.
- STEP 06
A sub menu will appear. Select “FIRMWARE UPDATE” and press the center button to start the firmware update.
- STEP 07
When “Firmware update complete. The camera will restart automatically.” is displayed, the update is complete.
* Do not operate the camera until the update completion message is displayed.
- STEP 08
Check the version from INFORMATION / FIRMWARE in the SYSTEM menu. If the update file and firmware version match, the update is complete.
