THE FP2 CAMERA
SMALL,
POWERFUL,
ADAPTABLE
The Sigma FP2 is a camera fully designed around human creativity. Purposefully deconstructed, its identity rests on three core principles: small, powerful, adaptable. Equipped with a full-frame sensor, it remains light and pocketable, achieving the world’s smallest*1 body. It scales to its user, offers functionality without clutter, and switches seamlessly between Still and Cine, each with its own workflow and dedicated UI.
Even in the digital age, taking a photograph is a deeply physical process. There is a powerful connection between the experience of using a camera and the philosophy behind its design. How it feels to hold and use the camera guides how you see and capture the world.

A LIGHT, POCKETABLE AND FULL-FRAME CAMERA.
THIS IS YOUR CAMERA
Photography reveals deep, fundamental truths about the subject in front of the camera, the photographer behind it and the relationship between them. It is a personal form of expression. Even given the same circumstances, no two people will ever take the same picture.
This is why we believe the photographer should not need to adapt to their camera. In our view, the ideal camera is one that fits seamlessly into the individual preferences, requirements, and style of the photographer. It should be a natural extension of the photographer’s physical and mental self; a true tool whose presence disappears in use. This is the belief behind Sigma’s approach to camera design.
Full-frame expressive power and
wide dynamic range
At the heart of the Sigma FP2 is an advanced full-frame sensor that captures images with exceptional resolution, rendering power, depth of color and subtle tonal gradation. Its uncompromising performance gives photographers the freedom to capture any scene or subject, no matter the shooting conditions.

Color modes for creative freedom
in photography
Thirteen color modes, selectable with the dedicated “Color” button, enable intuitive and unrestricted creative expression . Developed on the basis of Sigma’s own color science, this diverse range of preset modes lets photographers craft the tone of their work, capture the atmosphere of the moment and bring out the full appeal of their photography.
Sigma’s foundational color mode, delivering faithful, well-balanced color reproduction across a wide range of subjects.
Inspired by the vibrant colors and exuberance of 1970s–1990s films, this mode creates a rich, evocative world of color with a single turn of the dial.
Inspired by the soft cinematic tones of 1960s–1970s films, this mode pairs subdued contrast with unexpectedly striking reds to evoke stillness and emotion.
By lightly lifting midtones, this mode creates a clear, airy feel, bringing out the luminous clarity of cool blues.
Featuring subdued tones and warm hues, this mode creates a mellow atmosphere, combining expressive storytelling with versatility across a wide range of scenes.
Inspired by contemporary cinematic grading, this mode highlights orange skin tones and complementary teals for vivid, striking photographs.
Recreating the distinctive deep blues of the Foveon sensor in Sigma’s first digital camera, the SD9, this mode renders memorable, striking blue skies.
Inspired by the Foveon-equipped SD14, this mode emphasizes yellow tones, blending vermilion-like reds and cyan-leaning blues for a warm atmosphere.
Recreating the vividness of slide film, this mode captures lush greens to highlight the vitality of plants and flowers.
Inspired by twilight filters, this mode emphasizes reddish-purple-to-orange gradients for dramatic sunrises and sunsets.
Inspired by bleach bypass processing, this mode combines a yellow shift, subdued saturation, and pronounced shadows for a nostalgic cinematic feel.
Based on Rec.709 video standard, this mode delivers natural, understated cinematic tones close to human vision, without excessive stylization.
Focusing on delicate tonal gradations, this mode offers ten distinct toning effects to explore a rich world of monochrome expression.
A true evolution of the fp series
The Sigma FP2 inherits the innovative concept of the original fp, along with the distinctive character that made it one-of-a-kind. At the same time, every element and function of the camera has been reexamined and refined to create a more intuitive and expressive shooting experience, making the FP2 a true evolution of the fp series.
A NEW FREEDOM IN FRAMING
- Tilting LCD for broader perspectives
- Dedicated external electronic viewfinder for focused shooting
While keeping its compact body, the Sigma FP2 features a tilting LCD that tilts up 90° and down 45°. From low angles to high angles, it broadens the photographer’s perspective.
Easily attached to and detached from the camera via a single USB-C port, the high-resolution, high-luminance electronic viewfinder helps photographers feel deeply immersed in their photography. Its tilting mechanism angles upward by up to 90°, making it comfortable to shoot not only at eye level but also at waist level.
24.5-megapixel partially stacked CMOS sensor
The high-performance partially stacked CMOS sensor delivers outstanding rendering power, advanced AF performance and excellent dynamic range. Its high-speed readout significantly reduces rolling shutter distortion, enabling even faster continuous shooting and video recording at high frame rates.
Advanced AF performance +
With improved accuracy, speed and low-light performance, the sophisticated AF system captures subjects reliably, so decisive moments are never missed. In addition to people and animals, the advanced subject detection function now also recognizes birds.
High-capacity battery +
While maintaining the compact size that defines the fp series, the Sigma FP2 achieves approximately 30% longer battery life than the original fp. Its high-capacity battery can capture approximately 370 still images or about 130 minutes of video, enabling extended shooting sessions.
70GB
of internal
storage
70GB of internal storage
In addition to an SD card slot, the Sigma FP2 features 70GB of internal storage that supports high-speed writing. It allows recording to continue seamlessly when the memory card is full and ensures comfortable shooting in situations that call for additional capacity.
High-speed continuous shooting at up to approx. 20fps +
The Sigma FP2 can shoot continuously at up to approx. 20fps, for up to 200 frames in a single burst. Even in critical moments where a split second makes all the difference , it captures the shot with confidence.
MANUFACTURED IN AIZU
Like all Sigma products, the FP2 is fully manufactured and assembled in our factory in Aizu, Japan. Its precise build quality, reliability, and sensory qualities are made possible by our unique production system and the expertise and craftsmanship of our skilled staff.
Every texture, material, and detail has been carefully chosen to complement the precision and sensitivity of the human hand. Each element serves a purpose, enabling photographers to work and express themselves in their own way.

MIN HYUNWOO
In Min Hyunwoo’s work, moments of connection evoke a sense of longing for what can happen only once. In Nepal, Hyunwoo was living alongside local people and creating images for his ongoing project “Your eyes”.
EXPLOREBORJA LLORENS
Spanish cinematographer Borja Llorens returned to the coast of Alicante to visually explore his relationship with water through kayaking, cave exploration, and night diving.
EXPLOREA full-fledged cinema camera
at the flip of a switch
The Sigma FP2 is both a still camera and a full-fledged cinema camera. A single dedicated switch on the top of the body instantly toggles between STILL mode and CINE mode, each with functions, a user interface and a workflow fully optimized for that mode. Optimized for the creative production process and highly customizable, the FP2 is a true cinema camera capable of cinema-quality imagery, offering both mobility and performance in an exceptionally compact and lightweight body.
A compact, dedicated cinema camera
Transforming to suit its setup, the Sigma FP2 serves as a compact full-frame digital cinema camera for a wide range of video production. With a wealth of functions packed into its compact body, it covers every type of production, from personal vlogs and fly-on-the-wall documentaries to high-end film and TV productions.
